Poached egg can be found as a part of many different cuisines, including Indian, Italian, Colombian, Libyan, Turkish, etc…

Poaching an egg is a process similar to boiling it, but without it’s shell. The egg is broken into a bowl, and then slowly spilled into boiling water (to which vinegar was added), and cooked until the egg white hardens, but the egg yolk does not. A poached egg is supposed to stay raw in the center, or else it is considered overcooked. It can be seasoned with salt and pepper, or butter, ground cheese or olive oil.

Poached egg is a great addition to healthy diet, as it is quite nutritious, full of protein and low on carbs. However, poached egg is not really filling.
